Voluntary Pro Bono Reporting

Beginning in 2019, lawyers’ annual dues & fees statement has a place for the voluntary reporting of pro bono hours and financial contributions for the previous year. This new rule is an opportunity to provide the Bar with data to assess the extent of the justice gap and respond with programming to help close it. Learn more about what can and cannot be reported.

Access to Justice Commission

The Supreme Court of Virginia established the Virginia Access to Justice Commission, which is comprised of judges, lawyers, and others, to promote equal access to justice in Virginia, with particular emphasis on the civil legal needs of Virginia residents.
