2004 Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Award Recipient
Richard G. Brydges, Esquire
Virginia Beach attorney Richard G. Brydges received the 2004 Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Award from the Virginia State Bar’s Criminal Law Section at the 34th annual Criminal Law Seminar.
The award, established in 1992 in honor of Carrico, who retired as chief justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia in 2003, recognizes a singular and unique contribution to the improvement of the criminal justice system in Virginia.
Brydges’s fifty-four-year legal career has reflected service to the profession and the community. He has served as a mentor and exemplar for several generations of young lawyers in Tidewater and throughout the state.
