Corrections to June printed issue

The photos in the VSB 80th Anniversary piece were misnumbered on page 32 of the printed June issue of Virginia Lawyer. Photo 4 is 1979 Annual Meeting band, The O’Kaysions. Photo 5 is the cover of the First annual report.

Clarification: Clarence (Chip) Freeman Stanback Jr. practiced in Arlington. He was quoted on page 50 of the June issue of Virginia Lawyer.

In the June issue, Elaine Jones was incorrectly identified as the first African American admitted to the University of Virginia. That distinction belongs to Dr. Walter N. Ridley, who graduated from the Curry School of Education in 1953. Ms. Jones was the first African American woman to receive a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1970.
