Supreme Court of Virginia Amends Rules of Court; Adds New Rule
On Thursday, November 10, 2022 the Supreme Court of Virginia made a number of amendments to the Rules of Court, all of which will be effective January 9, 2023.
The Rules amended include: 1:16, 1:26, 5:4, 5:30, 5A:19, 5A:20, 5A:21, 5A:23, 5A:25, and affected filing formats and procedures, motions and responses, briefs amicus curiae, general requirements for all briefs, and several other amendments. Rule 3:14A was added: Intervention by the Commonwealth where constitutionality of law challenged.
