VSB Offices Flooded August 14, 2020

A portion of the downtown Richmond offices of the Virginia State Bar suddenly flooded Friday morning, August 14, sending Bar employees home from work.

The Bar asks that lawyers with questions about annual dues and fees payment, and MCLE, exercise patience with the Bar in returning calls. You may contact the Membership Department by email at membership@vsb.org. You may contact the MCLE Department by email at MCLE@vsb.org.

Due to COVID-19, many Bar employees have been working remotely. Disciplinary proceedings and other functions of the Bar are not affected by the flood.

The VSB continues to provide essential services to Virginia’s lawyers and the public. However, we have taken steps to keep the health and safety of our members, employees, and the general public at the forefront of our actions during this rapidly changing situation. Accordingly, many in-person services have been reduced or suspended.

The VSB office at 1111 E. Main Street is closed to visitors. If you need to reach a staff person, please send an email or call the appropriate contact person. We strongly urge the use of electronic communication to assist us in providing services to protect the public. Read more.
