Honor the Constitution on September 17

September 17 is Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, designated by federal law as a time to commemorate and teach about the U.S. Constitution and to recognize all who have attained American citizenship. The commemoration began in 1940 with a congressional resolution and was incorporated into law in its present form in 2004.
