Virginia Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program Releases 2019 Report
The Virginia Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program (VJLAP, formerly known as Lawyers Helping Lawyers) has released its 2018-19 annual report. The document includes a clinical report of the number and types of cases the organization has handled, the types of law the clients practiced, and a breakdown of the gender and ages of the clients.
The report also includes the highlights of a year in which much attention was put on the topic of lawyer wellness, including the Supreme Court of Virginia’s 2018 report, A Profession at Risk, and VSB Immediate Past President Leonard C. Heath’s Special Committee on Lawyer Well-Being report, The Occupational Risks of the Practice of Law, in 2019.
