Supreme Court of Virginia Extends Judicial Emergency Through June 28

On June 1, 2020, the Supreme Court of Virginia issued its fifth order modifying and extending the judicial emergency caused by COVID-19 to June 28, 2020.

The Court again enumerated a variety of civil and criminal legal protocols and procedures arising out of its previous four orders, and stated that where this order differs from prior orders, this order shall control.

All persons over the age of ten entering a courthouse must wear a face covering over their nose and mouth, including all judges, attorneys, sheriffs, or anyone else visiting or working in a courthouse.
