The Virginia State Bar continues to provide essential services to Virginia’s lawyers and the public. However, we have taken steps to keep the health and safety of our members, employees, and the general public at the forefront of our actions during this rapidly changing situation. Accordingly, many in-person services will be reduced or suspended. The VSB office at 1111 E. Main Street is closed to visitors. We strongly urge the use of electronic communication to assist us in providing services. We will provide additional updates our website.
A portion of the downtown Richmond offices of the Virginia State Bar suddenly flooded Friday morning, sending Bar employees home from work today.
The Bar asks that lawyers with questions about annual dues and fees payment, MCLE, and disciplinary proceedings exercise patience with the Bar in returning calls and proceeding with cases.
Due to COVID-19, many Bar employees have been working remotely. Phones and email may go unanswered for a period of time, depending on whom you try to reach.
We will post updates on this page as soon as we can.
