The Virginia State Bar, an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Virginia, has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, customer-service individual to serve as the face and first point of contact for callers and visitors. This highly visible entry level position offers the opportunity to learn all the inner workings of VSB in a professional work environment. Work hours are 8:15 am to 4:45 pm Monday to Friday.   

Essential duties and responsibilities include greeting and welcoming lawyers, vendors, and the public; answering a multi-line phone, responding to routine inquiries, and directing callers; managing conference room reservations and calendars; coordinating deliveries; and providing general administrative and office support duties involving mail, supplies, correspondence, and special projects.

The selected candidate will be extremely dependable, personable, and organized; able to convey information effectively and accurately; comfortable handling difficult interactions with professionalism, patience, and diplomacy; and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Previous work experience handling confidential and sensitive documents is preferred. Bilingual skills (specifically Spanish) are a plus. The selected candidate must also complete and pass a criminal background check.
