Effective July 1, 2019, the Rules of the Supreme Court of Virginia, Part 6, Section IV, will include a new provision, Paragraph 23, Attorney Wellness Fund.

On May 31, 2019, the Supreme Court of Virginia ordered an addition to the Rules of Court governing the Virginia State Bar to allow for up to a $30 Attorney Wellness Fund fee to be collected on the dues statement of all active VSB lawyers. The fee will be used to fund a judges and lawyers assistance program, CLE courses, and other activities that improve lawyer wellness.
