CLE Event—The Google Ad Tech Case: Legal and Business Implications for Virginia Technology
The Antitrust, Franchise, and Trade Regulation and Business Law Sections are co-sponsoring a CLE event on April 29 at the Willcox Savage office in McLean. (1.5 hour CLE approved)
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ)-led advertising technology antitrust case against Google in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia raises the possibility of a reshaping of the digital advertising market for Virginia-based tech firms, startups, and other technology businesses, which may lead to altered compliance requirements and require strategic adjustments to legal and business practices. With closing arguments in this important trial having concluded in November, you are invited to join the Virginia State Bar for a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program examining the legal theories at play, the potential impact of the case on Virginia companies, and considerations for businesses navigating evolving antitrust enforcement trends.
Join us in person or by webcast. A boxed lunch will be provided to in-person attendees. No charge to attend but registration is required. Register by Friday, April 25 at noon.
