Are you one of the 9,500 members of the Young Lawyers Conference? If so, you are invited to attend the YLC’s Membership Meeting and Reception on Friday afternoon. Stop by for a quick bite to eat; meet old friends and make new friends; and help celebrate the accomplishments of the Conference. The YLC also will elect its officers and board of governors for the coming year at this event.

Young Lawyer of the Year & Special Service Awards

In conjunction with its membership meeting, The Young Lawyers Conference will recognize those members who provided outstanding and dedicated service to the YLC during the bar year, and it will also present its Young Lawyer of the Year Award.

The R. Edwin Burnette, Jr., Young Lawyer of the Year Award honors an outstanding young lawyer in Virginia who has demonstrated extraordinary service to the YLC, the legal profession and the community. The award is named for Hon. R. Edwin Burnette, Jr., judge of the General District Court in Lynchburg, who served both as president of the YLC and the Virginia State Bar.
