Everything you love about the Annual Meeting with a whole new twist.

This year’s meeting offers a great opportunity to spend leisure time with your family, stay abreast of current legal and professional issues, and socialize with your colleagues, all in the relaxed and informal setting of Virginia Beach. As you will see from the schedule, we are planning a variety of special activities in addition to an exciting lineup of diverse CLE offerings.

The CLE schedule has been slightly redesigned to present five Showcase-quality programs. Our sections and conferences will collaborate with related legal organizations to present these programs that will be offered on Friday and Saturday. Each program will feature a high-profile, dynamic topic with engaging speakers who will appeal to all members of the bar.

The Conference of Local Bar Associations, the Diversity Conference, the Senior Lawyers Conference, and the Young Lawyers Conference will each sponsor special events and award presentations during the meeting. On Saturday morning, the Senior Lawyers Conference will host a special event to honor this year’s 50-Year Award recipients.

On Friday, section and conference members will gather for a joint Section & Conference Luncheon. This will be a great opportunity to reconnect with your colleagues over a casual lunch and catch up on section/conference business. Be sure to register for this event.

Michael W. Robinson, of Fairfax, will be sworn in as the 78th President of the Virginia State Bar at the Annual Banquet on Friday evening. On Friday evening, join the party in Neptune Park, featuring The Rare Mixx Band.

The weekend will include the usual array of athletic activities, including golf, the 5k run, tennis, volleyball, and early morning yoga on the beach. Also, be sure to attend the ever-popular Family Bingo on Friday afternoon, and register your children for the sandcastle contest on Saturday morning. While our Lawyers Expo will be in hiatus this year, there will be lots of great prizes and raffle giveaways at the Saturday Closing Reception

The City of Virginia Beach will provide private, complimentary shuttle service between hotels during the weekend. You also can stroll along the boardwalk between hotels and enjoy the annual art show that will be right in front of some of our hotels this year. Our Annual Meeting mobile app is available to keep you up-to-date on the schedule and location of all activities.
