2007 Outstanding Graduate Award
Board of Governors for the Family Law Section of the Virginia State Bar
2007 Outstanding Graduate Award
The Annual Outstanding Student Awards for 2007 have been presented again this may at each of the eight Virginia law schools to a top graduating student from each school. In conjunction with the Dean of each law school the Family Law professor chooses the graduate who has demonstrated the most promise and potential for the practice of family law to be the recipient of this award.
Thomson West provides complimentary inscribed copies of their publication VIRGINIA FAMILY LAW: THEORY AND PRACTICE by Swisher, Diehl, and Cottrell. The Board of Governors, along with the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers is appreciative of the Thompson West Community Partnership Program for their gift in making this award possible, and most particularly Martha Field, Manager, Corporate and Employee Giving. We provide a beautifully framed certificate to accompany the book, and the award is presented to the student at the law school’s graduation ceremonies. This year Board of Governors Members were invited to attend some of the graduation ceremonies to make the award presentation.
