Modifications to Bylaws Vote at Annual Meeting
At the VSB Annual Meeting, the Bankruptcy Law Section Board of Governors will present two motions to modify the bylaws of the section. One motion will deal with grammatical errors the Long Range Planning Committee discovered in the past year. The second motion will allow section members to vote on changes to the bylaws and other issues via e-mail. Presently, the membership only meets once a year at the annual meeting. It is our position that these modifications will allow us to make future changes on a more timely basis, rather than being limited to once yearly.These motions will be presented at the section's annual meeting on Friday, June 19, 2009, in Virginia Beach.
Any changes, even if approved by the membership, must be ultimately approved by the VSB Council.
