This program will feature a panel of lawyers (consumer and industry), judges, and a non-lawyer housing advocate who will discuss bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy alternatives to save a consumer’s home.
Among the Speakers are a nationally known speaker on bankruptcy and the legislative process, a member of the Virginia Taskforce on Foreclosure, a prominent attorney representing many major lenders in Virginia and an experienced housing counselor, who works with families facing foreclosure on a daily basis.
The Speakers will be:
- Frank J Santoro, Judge for the United States Bankruptcy Court Eastern District of VA, Moderator
- Michael Glasser, Esq., former President Virginia State Bar, Norfolk, VA
- Samuel J Gerdano, Executive Director, American Bankruptcy Institute, Washington DC
- Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Trade David N. Smith, member Governor's Taskforce on Foreclosure
- John Allen, Vice President Financial Services, The Up Center, Norfolk Virginia, Housing Counselor
We have been allocated 80 seats for the seminar and members of the bankruptcy section are invited to attend, but CLE credit will not be available if the member does not register to attend the Virginia State Bar Meeting.
