The Supreme Court of Virginia approved, effective immediately, a proposed amendment to Rule 2.11, Comment [9] of The Rules of Professional Conduct, which included a reference to Rule 2.2 that no longer exists. (Approved by the Supreme Court of Virginia December 30, 2008. Effective immediately.)

Amendment to Part 6, Section IV, Paragraph 13.I.2.f (2) of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Virginia, providing a Suspension of one year or less, with or without terms, as an available sanction by the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board (Approved by the Supreme Court of Virginia December 30, 2008. Effective March 1, 2009.)
