The Revised Handbook on Appellate Advocacy in the Supreme Court of Virginia and the Court of Appeals of Virginia
The Appellate Advocacy handbook is designed to assist members of the bar in preparing themselves for appeals in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals of Virginia. This handbook, however, is not a substitute for, or replacement of, Parts 5 and 5A of the Rules of Court. The handbook contains information and suggestions intended to promote efficiency and improve appellate advocacy in these courts. It may not reflect new revisions to the Rules of Court. Every lawyer contemplating an appeal to the Supreme Court or Court of Appeals of Virginia should become thoroughly familiar with the Rules of Court.
