VSB Staff Recognized for Charitable Contributions

The Virginia State Bar has been recognized for its participation in the 2008 Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) – the state’s program to raise money for charities.

In a ceremony February 22, 2008, the VSB was presented with the CVC’s highest honor – the Platinum Award – for a participation rate of more than 50 percent of employees and an average gift of at least $175 per person. Forty-seven of the bar’s ninety-four employees donated a total of $9,332.

The VSB also won the Shining Star Award for exceeding the previous year’s contributions.

And campaign coordinators Erica L. Gray and Tina M. “Michelle” Jamison received Most Innovative Campaign Awards for their creativity to encourage other VSB staffers to give. They held a series of weekly challenges, including a “name that charity” contest and door prizes. Gray and Jamison are legal secretaries in the VSB Professional Regulation Department.
