The Legal Ethics Committee is seeking comments to proposed amendments to LEO 1862 regarding timely disclosure of exculpatory evidence by a prosecutor. Comments are due by May 4, 2012.
The Committee on Lawyer Discipline is seeking comments to proposed amendments to Professional Guidelines Paragraph 13-1 regarding the definition of “bar counsel” and to Paragraph 13-26 regarding appeals from Disciplinary Board determinations. Comments are due by May 31, 2012.
The Appellate Committee of the Virginia State Bar Litigation Section together with the Virginia Bar Association presents a CLE on effective use of amicus briefs and related topics on April 25 in Richmond.
Nominations are sought for VSB board and committee vacancies to be filled by council in June, with terms beginning July 1, 2012.
