Supreme Court Approves MCLE Changes – The approved Rules of the Virginia Supreme Court Part 6, § IV, ¶ 17 amends the process for adopting or amending MCLE regulations, in part by giving the VSB Council more input.
Professionalism Course – The VSB Harry L. Carrico Professionalism Course, required for all lawyers in their first year of Virginia practice, will be March 3 at the Doubletree Hotel in Charlottesville.
IOLTA’s FDIC coverage extended – Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts will continue to have unlimited insurance coverage through the FDIC, thanks to last-minute legislation passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama in December.
Bar Leaders Institute – March 7, in Richmond. The BLI is a one-day program sponsored by the Conference of Local Bar Associations for current and prospective local and statewide bar leaders.
