Judicial Boundary Realignment Study – The Supreme Court of Virginia has been asked by the General Assembly to review and recommend changes to the existing boundary lines for Virginia's judicial circuits and districts.

LEO 1814 – VSB Standing Committee on Legal Ethics seeks public comment no later than May 2 on proposed advisory LEO 1814, Undisclosed Recording of Third Parties in Criminal Matters.

Internet scams target lawyers – Be aware: the FBI continues to receive reports of counterfeit check schemes targeting U.S. law firms.

VSB Disciplinary Board to hear reinstatement petition –Salvage DeLacy Stith has petitioned the Supreme Court of Virginia for reinstatement of his law license. The board will hear the petition on May 20.

VSB Access to Justice Conference – Free CLE program based on a live presentation of The Parson’s Cause at historic Hanover Courthouse, followed by a pro bono awards ceremony and reception. All are welcome, with registration.

Midyear Legal Seminar registration – Register by April 15 for the 2011 Midyear Legal Seminar in Athens, Greece.

Conference of Local Bar Association Awards – April 29 is the deadline for nominating individuals and bar associations for the 2011 Local Bar Leader of the Year Award and Awards of Merit.

Solo & Small-Firm Practitioner Forum – May 10 at the U.Va. Darden School of Business, Charlottesville, featuring legal technologist, Barron Henley. 6 hours of CLE (1 ethics).

VSB Military Law Section CLE – Come to Quantico on May 20 and learn the latest on the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, managing media in high profile cases, ethical issues in social networking, and more. 3 hours CLE, 1 hour in ethics (pending).
