COMMENTS SOUGHT ON UPL 212 — The VSB’s Standing Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law is seeking public comments on proposed Unauthorized Practice of Law Opinion 212, Whether a Non-Lawyer Settlement Agent Can Negotiate a Debt on Behalf of a Debtor. Comments are due no later than Monday, September 24, 2007.
EDMONDS RECEIVES HIGHEST ACCOLADE FROM NABE — VSB Executive Director Thomas A. Edmonds was honored in early August by the National Association of Bar Executives as the 2007 recipient of the Bolton Award for Outstanding Bar Leadership.
