COMMENTS SOUGHT ON EMERGENCY LEGAL SERVICES RULE — The Virginia State Bar is seeking comments on a proposed Supreme Court of Virginia rule intended to ensure that Virginians can obtain pro bono legal services after disasters or emergencies. The rule will be considered by the Virginia State Bar Council during its June 19, 2008, meeting in Virginia Beach.

RESERVE YOUR SPOT FOR THE MIDYEAR LEGAL SEMINAR — The reservation form, including hotel, flight, and continuing legal education information, for the Virginia State Bar’s 35th Annual Midyear Legal Seminar in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is available online.

YLC TO SPONSOR FREE IMMIGRATION SEMINAR — The Immigration Outreach Committee of the VSB Young Lawyers Conference will present a free seminar providing public defenders and criminal defense attorneys with an overview of the adverse immigration consequences of criminal convictions on Friday, April 4, in Fairfax.
