Former Senator John Warner to Be Given Rule of Law Award

On Law Day, May 1, 2009, former Virginia senator John W. Warner will receive the 2009 Rule of Law Award, given by the Virginia Holocaust Museum and the Virginia Law Foundation, at a ceremony to be held 5:30–7:30 pm at the museum, 2000 East Cary Street in Richmond. The event is open to the public.

Emilio DiPalma, who at age eighteen was a guard at the Nuremberg trials, will be present to sign his book, Just a Kid, that describes his experience.

The Rule of Law Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to promoting the rule of law as the foundation of peaceful, stable, and prosperous nation states.

The Virginia Law Foundation promotes through philanthropy the rule of law, access to justice, and law-related education. The foundation has provided nearly $23 million to support law-related public service projects throughout Virginia. Updated: Apr 02, 2009
