Comments invited on changes to mediation rules – The comment time for proposed revisions to documents that govern mediation services in Virginia has been extended to October 30. The comments are requested by the Division of Dispute Resolution Services in the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia.
Virginia State Tax Amnesty Oct. 7 – Dec. 5 – Delinquent taxpayers may pay back taxes to the state with no penalties and half the normal interest charges. All practitioners, not only tax professionals, should be aware of the Virginia Tax Amnesty Program when advising their clients. An informative article on the program will be published in the October issue of Virginia Lawyer, sponsored by the Taxation Section.
