VSB Member Directory To Launch This Month: Opt Out Now — Beginning in early January, the VSB website will link to a directory of lawyers to make it easier for the public and members to find an attorney. Opt-out now if you don't want to be included. 

VSB Council to Review a Proposed Amendment to Rule 7.4(d) of the Rules of Professional Conduct — The proposed amendment would allow a lawyer to advertise a specialty certification without the need for a disclaimer if the certification was granted by an organization that is currently accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).

Volunteers with Varied Backgrounds Sought by Community Tax Law Project and Its Affiliate Programs — Find out how citizen lawyers can help Virginians stabilize family finances in the current economic downturn.

VSB Website Has Portal to Diversity Initiative — http://www.vsb.org now links to a Diversity Initiative webpage that lists resources for enhancing diversity in the legal profession and encouraging appreciation for our legal system. Visit the page to find volunteer opportunities, legacy projects, and perspectives of attorneys who have broadened the Virginia State Bar.
