Justice Keenan to speak at Bench-Bar Dinner
The Young Lawyers Conference is honored to announce Virginia Supreme Court Justice Barbara Keenan as the keynote speaker for the annual Bench Bar Dinner in Celebration of Women and Minorities in the Legal Profession. Justice Keenan has been a member of the Supreme Court of Virginia since 1991, and was the first justice to sit at all four levels of the Virginia court system. She was recently nominated for a seat on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Virginia Lawyers Weekly recognized Justice Keenan as the Most Influential Woman of Virginia in 2009.
The Bench-Bar Dinner is an annual event held to honor newly elevated women and minority judges from across Virginia. The event is scheduled for Fall 2009. More information regarding this event will follow soon.
