Nominating Committee Report
Pursuant to Section 6.1 of the Bylaws of the Senior Lawyers Conference, the Nominating Committee makes the following nominations for Conference Officers and the Conference Board of Governors:Officers
For one-year terms beginning with adjournment of the 2008 Annual Meeting of the Virginia State Bar:
Chair Homer C. Eliades, Circuit 6
Chair Elect John G. Mizell. Jr., Circuit 14
1st Vice Chair John H. Tate, Jr., Circuit 28
2nd Vice Chair Robert L. Calhoun, Circuit 18
Secretary William H. Oast III, Circuit 3
Treasurer Hon. Janine M. Saxe, Circuit 19
Each of the nominees has agreed to be nominated. Each of them has served the Conference as a member of the Board of Governors during the current term and has actively contributed to the work of the Board. Each has for many years practiced law successfully in his or her community. Judge Saxe is in active service as a Judge.

Each of the nominees has agreed to be nominated. All of the nominees, except Samuel Meekins, are presently serving as members of the Board of Governors. All have expressed interest in so serving. Each has for many years practiced law successfully in his or her community.
In accordance with the SLC Bylaws, the election shall be held at a business session of the Conference during the Annual Meeting of the SLC at the Virginia State Bar (VSB) Annual Meeting. The date, time and place of the meeting shall be published in the official program of the Annual Meeting of the VSB.
