Senior Lawyers Conference

A Conference of the Virginia State Bar.

The SLC of the Virginia State Bar was established in 2001 by Bar Council. We have a membership of 14,832 lawyers, 55 years of age and older, who focus on issues of interest to senior lawyers and promotion of the welfare of senior citizens. We have provided assistance in the implementation of the revised guardianship laws for adults. We prepare, revise, and publish the Senior Citizens Handbook. We provide education and encouragement to lawyers to do proper planning for their own disability or death. We are interested in receiving input from senior lawyers and senior citizens on issues of concern to them, in order to enable us to study issues, present programs and activities, produce publications of interest, and advocate appropriately.
