Mission Statement of Special Committee on Publications and Public Information

The mission of the Special Committee on Publications and Public Information is to further the bar's efforts to regulate the profession, to advance the availability and quality of legal services, and to improve the legal profession through the bar's member and public information programs. The committee develops and recommends programs to the officers, the executive committee, and the council. The committee also advises the publications and public information department about the bar's publications, Web site, and public information programs.

The committee's work may include other specific assignments or requests in its general area of responsibility from the bar's officers, the executive committee, or the council.

At the end of each bar year on June 30, the chair of the committee shall submit an annual report outlining the work and accomplishments of the committee during the preceding bar. In addition, the chair shall prepare an interim report by February 1 each year for review by the executive committee and the council at their February meetings.
