Dear VSB Real Property Section (“Section”) Members, Pursuant to the Section Bylaws this notice (and the e-mail upon which it is based) serves as notice to the Section membership that at the Annual Meeting of the Section to be held on Friday June 18, 2010, at 12:30 pm in the Skytop Room of the Sunspree Holiday Inn at Virginia Beach, Virginia, the Board of Governors will present proposed revisions to the Section Bylaws for approval by the membership. You may view the proposed revisions on the Section website by way of the following links. Clean Final Version RedLine Version The Bylaws were last reviewed and amended in 1990. The proposed revisions will accomplish various house keeping updates. Changes that are more substantive in nature include increasing the number of 3-year terms Board members may serve from 2 to 3; allowing amendments to the Bylaws to be considered at meetings of the Section other than the Annual Meeting; and the addition of provisions regarding committees of the Section and the Section Area Representatives. You may send any comments or questions regarding the Bylaws revisions to jmc@richfish.com. Joseph M. Cochran, Section Chairman |
