Dear Ms. Burton:
Per the October 2nd Membership Statistics report published and posted on the Virginia State Bar website, the Real Property Section remains a vibrant section with total membership of 1,896 individuals. Active/Associate members (1,865) comprise 98+% of the Section’s total membership.
As an open invitation to all real estate attorneys, please consider attending the upcoming Real Property Section meeting to be held in conjunction with the VBA Annual Winter Meeting on Friday, January 19th in Williamsburg. It is the active involvement of the members that allows the Section to maintain its prominence and provides the focus for the Section.
You should also mark your calendar for the 11th Annual Advanced Real Estate Seminar which is to be held February 23rd & 24th at Kingsmill. In particular, this seminar has become a premier event for the real estate practitioner.
Being current, staying advised, and being informed are absolute requirements in the ever-changing real property practice environment. Thoughts need to be shared, ideas discussed, and questions asked for the common good, benefit, and use of all real property practitioners. If you are reading this report, you can contribute.
