At the Virginia State Bar's Annual Meeting in Virginia Beach last month, one of our own was honored in a very special way. Steven L. Meyers, a member of our section currently serving on the Board of Governors, was presented with the Virginia Legal Aid Award, in recognition of the innovation and creativity he has demonstrated while advocating for those less advantaged and the excellence he has achieved in their service with the Virginia Legal Aid Society and Virginia Poverty Law Center, as well as pro bono publico while in private practice.
