On November 18, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended Christopher Jason Agresto’s license to practice law for five years for violating professional rules that govern competence, diligence, communication, declining or terminating representation, and bar admission and disciplinary matters. In another matter, the board also suspended Mr. Agresto’s license pending a show cause hearing based on his November 4, 2011, guilty plea for conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The board ordered him to appear on December 9, 2011, to show cause why his license should not be further suspended or revoked.

*On December 5, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board revoked Christopher Jason Agresto’s license to practice law. In consenting to the revocation, Mr. Agresto admitted that he was convicted of a federal crime involving conspiracy to commit wire fraud. His license had been summarily suspended on November 18, 2011. He pled guilty in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia which accepted his plea.

On September 30, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board summarily suspended Gerald Isadore Katz’s law license. Mr. Katz pled guilty to a crime in Maryland on August 20, 2010. The board ordered him to appear on October 28, 2011, and show cause why his license should not be further suspended or revoked in Virginia.

*On October 28, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended Gerald Isadore Katz’s license to practice law for six months. The Virginia suspension became effective September 30, 2011 - the date that Mr. Katz’s Virginia license was summarily suspended pending a show cause hearing on the reciprocal discipline.

On September 29, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board summarily suspended Harry Tun’s license to practice law based on the suspension of his District of Columbia license by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.  The board ordered Mr. Tun to appear and show cause why the same discipline should not be imposed in Virginia.  On October 28, 2011, the board suspended Mr. Tun’s Virginia license for eighteen months with six months stayed followed by one year of probation.   This was the same sanction imposed in the District of Columbia.

The board ordered him to appear on December 9, 2011, to show cause why the same discipline that was imposed by the D.C. Court of Appeals should not be imposed by the board.

His license had been summarily suspended since June 26, 2011. He pled guilty and was convicted in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia.

*On September 23, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended Carl V. Williams' license to practice law for one year, with all but four months deferred with terms, the same discipline imposed by the Louisiana Supreme Court for ethical violations in that jurisdiction.  The Virginia suspension became effective August 25, 2011 - the date that Mr. Williams' Virginia license was summarily suspended pending a show cause hearing on the reciprocal discipline.

The board ordered him to appear on August 26, 2011, and show cause why the same discipline that was imposed in Florida should not be imposed in Virginia.

*On August 26, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended Jeffrey Andrew Luhrsen's license to practice law for thirty days, the same discipline imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida for ethical violations in that jurisdiction.  The Virginia suspension became effective July 28, 2011 - the date that his Virginia license was summarily suspended pending a show cause hearing on the reciprocal discipline.

Under the terms of the discipline, she must conform the name she uses for practicing with her name of record with the Virginia State Bar. This was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges.

On July 29, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board summarily suspended John Michael Coppola’s license to practice law, in response to his disbarment in Maryland on April 29, 2011, by the Maryland Court of Appeals. The board ordered Mr. Coppola to appear on August 26, 2011, to show cause why his Virginia license should not be revoked.

*On August 16, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board continued the hearing until April 27, 2012.

**On September 15, 2011, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board continued the hearing until December 9, 2011.

A three-judge panel of the Virginia Beach Circuit Court suspended Charles Lowenberg Pincus III’s license to practice law for sixty days, effective July 1, 2011, for violating professional rules that govern fees and diligence. The court originally imposed the suspension July 28, 2010, but the Supreme Court of Virginia stayed the suspension pending an appeal. The Supreme Court affirmed the suspension on June 9, 2011.

On June 6, 2011, Ms. Basset pled guilty to felony driving under the influence — third DUI within ten years.
