Effective June 9, 2014, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board summarily suspended Willard Phillip McCrone’s license to practice law for thirty days based on the suspension of his license by the Supreme Court of the State of California. Mr. McCrone was ordered to appear June 27, 2014 to show cause why the discipline imposed in California should not be imposed in Virginia.

*On June 27, 2014, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended Willard Phillip McCrone’s license to practice law for one year with terms, with all but thirty days suspended. This was a reciprocal disciplinary action based on misconduct that occurred in California and for which the California Supreme Court disciplined Mr. McCrone.

Effective June 10, 2014, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board has suspended Kiran Moolchand Dewan’s license to practice law based on the revocation of his license in Maryland. Mr. Dewan was ordered to appear on June 27, 2014, to show cause why the same discipline that was imposed in Maryland should not be imposed in Virginia.

*On June 23, 2014, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board revoked Kiran Moolchand Dewan’s license to practice law based on the revocation of his license in Maryland. In consenting to the revocation, Mr. Dewan admitted that the charges against him are true and that he could not successfully defend against them. Mr. Dewan’s license was summarily suspended on June 10, 2014.

Mr. Santa Barbara’s license had been summarily suspended based on his July 9, 2013, suspension by the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia.

Effective January 6, 2014, the Virginia State Bar summarily suspended Robert Stuart Collins’s license to practice law based on his guilty plea in the United State District Court for the Western District of Virginia, Big Stone Gap Division, to four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance by fraud. The board ordered Mr. Collins to appear on January 24, 2014, to show cause why his license to practice law should not be further suspended or revoked.

*On January 22, 2014, the case was continued generally by the Disciplinary Board.
